"Room To Cook": New catering concept launches in Düsseldorf

Exceptional incentive for employees and customers after the fair day closes

At the latest since the enhancement of daily TV viewing through numerous celebrity cooking shows one thing has been clear: Cooking is in, cooking for yourself is cool, cooking with others - the absolute hit! In Düsseldorf the first restaurant has now opened in which all guests are not only allowed to help but must, because in the new “Room To cook” every guest must produce their own meal – of course professional chefs are on hand with support and advice. “Room To Cook” seeks to combine the advantages of a cookery school with those of a restaurant: seven days a week during the day and evenings cookery sessions are held on different themes, accompanied and supported by alternating professional chefs.

Managing Director Tim Koch on the concept: “Room To Cook” should primarily be fun, impart culinary know-how and in the process not neglect the communicative aspect. There is no splitting into groups, every participant prepares a complete dish or full order of courses at their own cooking station. A professional chef is on hand to accompany them through every step of their preparations with explanations and advice whilst also providing valuable tips and tricks. All the preparation stages, appliances and ingredients have been arranged and selected in such a way to ensure that you can easily cook these meals yourself at home on an everyday basis and that the learning effect does not simply remain theory."

The courses have different motifs such as for example German cuisine, Tifosi (beginners), world-class, snack or something for the boss, they are focused on typical German or Italian cuisine, exotic recipes or how you can quickly create a delicious meal for guests at home. In the evening not only short sessions are held, but more lavish dishes or multi-course menus are also prepared. The duration of the Room To Cook sessions varies between half an hour and two hours. As the concept aims to appeal to both singles and couples as well as groups, a visit to the Room To Cook is also ideally suited as an “incentive” after the fair has closed for the day. Regardless of whether you want to creatively bring the evening to a close with lots of fun at the cooker with your stand team or wish to offer your VIP customers an exceptional location for discussions in an informal setting without a tie but chef’s apron instead, everything is possible. Fully in keeping with their wishes and mood, the participants can come together for their meal at the large table or sit in peace and quiet at tables for two. The sessions can also be booked at short notice on the Internet.
