Stefan Clemens new NCR Area Industry Leader Retail & Hospitality

New team for cross-industry impulses in the retail and hospitality market; intensification of dialogue with retailers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
AUGSBURG – NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) has named Stefan Clemens (45) Area Industry Leader Retail and Hospitality for Central Europe (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Clemens brings more than 22 years of in-depth expertise in sales and experience with self service solutions. Most recently, he was Head of financial industry Sales with NCR GmbH.
Clemens, a chartered engineer and industrial engineer, joined NCR in 1996 and has held various sales positions. Prior to this, he worked in different sales positions with Siemens Nixdorf and Unisys.
In appointing Clemens to the newly created position of Area Industry Leader Retail & Hospitality, NCR aims to leverage growth potential with cross-industry self-service solutions. To this end, NCR plans to promote an even closer collaboration and know-how transfer within its core industries – retail and financial – as well as to expand with regards to structure and workforce throughout 2009.

Norbert Eumes (50) provides further impetus to the success of NCR's retail and hospitality business: as Director Channel Central Europe, he is responsible for the intensive liaison with and support of NCR sales partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2008, Eumes took over responsibility for expanding NCR’s partner programme and for partner relationships. Before joining NCR, the chartered engineer held diverse positions in sales with Hewlett Packard, Thomson NETg and SWsoft.
Eumes’ foremost ambitions are the expansion of existing and the development of new partnerships in retail and hospitality specialist stores as well as the attraction of additional customers via indirect sales. "Together with our partners, we want to expand the deployment of our solutions and services into small to mid-sized retailers in the food and non-food sectors. For this reason, we are intensifying the support with our dealers and are seeking the dialog with new partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In extending our dealer network, we intend to address the retail and hospitality markets more intensively and help them optimise their business processes and leverage new potential," says Eumes.
