What better way to relax than with good music? How better to recharge your batteries after a tiring day at the trade fair than with hot rhythms that tempt you to strut your stuff and tunes so catchy you can’t help but sing along? At the end of the first day of EuroCIS 2010 you can do all of these since after a long time away from touring Chris Rea will take to the stage of the Düsseldorf Philipshalle under the motto “Still so far to go” on 2 March.

Chris Rea’s career spans 30 years and a musical path from pop, latin and soft rock to his rhythm ’n’ blues roots. On 2 March his fans can look forward to his biggest hits finally presented by Chris Rea live on stage again including “On The Beach”, “Let’s Dance”, “Josephine”, “Stainsby Girls”, “I Can Hear Your Heart Beat” and the legendary “Road To Hell”.

In Germany, in particular, his smoky voice already caught the attention of both critics and fans in the early 80s long before Rea achieved international acclaim with such songs as “Shamrock Diaries”, “Dancing With Strangers” or the outstanding “Road To Hell”. With “King Of The Beach” Chris Rea followed on from the refined elegant hard rock style so typical of “Auberge”, “God’s Great Banana Skin” and “Espresso Logic”. The special quality of his live performances was acknowledged by the media as “a moment of glory” for blues rock. As reserved as the empathetic artist may appear on stage – he perfectly masters both his guitar and vocal chords.

Due to serious illness he abstained from touring for a long time but now Chris Rea has found his passion for music again – which is why he wants to present the full scope of his creativity to his fans once again.
