Parallel to EuroCIS 2010:
The “tour de menu” offers a Culinary Trip in and around Düsseldorf


Want to conclude your visit to the Düsseldorf trade fair with a sumptuous meal washed down with a splendid wine? If so you should definitely take advantage of the “tour de menu” initiative running in parallel with EuroCIS 2010 and held in Düsseldorf already for the 11th time now.

Between 26 February and 23 March 2010 51 restaurants in and around Düsseldorf will be proffering a variety of delightful menus to 35,000 gourmets and “tour fans”. Over a total of 26 days the cooking and serving staff at these establishments will be fighting for a place on the "tour de menu" winners’ podium. Alongside numerous restaurants which can already be described as tour classics like “Bellevue” and "Liedberger Landgasthaus", "tour de menu" organisers are also delighted at the number of newcomers.

A total of 15 restaurants will be celebrating their tour premiere this year, including the likes of "architektur & esskultur”“ [Düsseldorf], “Klopotowskis Restaurant" [Hilden], “Klosterhof – Bistro im Maxhaus” [Düsseldorf] and "La Cucina Toscana" [Mettmann]. Amongst these new recruits are also five new openings. Gregor Marx will be presenting his new and second restaurant “AMIDA Restaurant” [Haan] to the public for the first time while the restaurants "Caruso in Meerbusch", "Osteria Italiana” and “Spoerl Fabrik” [Düsseldorf] opening at the end of last year also wish to convince guests of the quality of the new establishments.

Catering trade partner METRO Cash & Carry will also be on board as a sponsor of the tour de menu in 2010. The “METRO Gourmet Pass” will serve as a voting slip to decide on the success or failure of the participating restaurants. The restaurants entering the tour contest will be rated by the gourmets on criteria like “Value for Money”, “Quality” and “Service”. By placing their votes epicures will not only help restaurants win the contest but again this year also have the chance to win one of the attractive prizes such as a “Champagne Night on the Rhine” at the Rheinhotel Vier Jahreszeiten.
