The METRO GROUP Future Store Initiative is a cooperation between companies from the retail, consumer goods, IT and service sectors.  The aim of this cooperation is to drive forward the modernization process in the retail sector in this time of changing market conditions. To this end, more than 75 partners develop and test innovative technologies and real-world concepts.

The Real Future Store in Toenisvorst represents the future workshop of retailing. On a selling space of approx. 8,600 square meters, the partners of the METRO GROUP Future Store Initiative are testing new concepts and technologies that will provide customers an even more convenient, exciting and informative shopping experience in the future.

The objective is to optimally adjust the range of products and services to the customers’ individual demands and drive the innovation process of the retailing sector. Innovations that stand the test in Toenisvorst will be introduced by METRO GROUP in the stores of its retail brands.
