act´o-soft presents the Retail Tablet at the EuroCIS 2012

Mobile store solution for the retailer on the Tablet PC

Werther, 16th February 2012 – act´o-soft, supplier of touch-based software solutions for retailers, presents the Retail Tablet for the first time at the EuroCIS 2012. The retailer and cash register solution act´o-cashm turns a conventional tablet PC into a versatile appliance that can be used in the retail trade. act´o-soft will also be presenting its stationary solutions at the Dusseldorf Trade Fair for Retail Trade Technologies.

The Retail Tablet with act´o-cashm takes over one of several functions in the store depending on the need. The Retail Tablet can be used as a replacement, supplementary or mobile cash register for overcoming bottlenecks in the store. The Tablet can be connected via a single cable to cash register drawers, EFT terminals, receipt printers and other additional devices – a fully-functioning register is already available. In addition, the Tablet can even support the adviser during a consultation with the customer. Stock levels and supplementary information can be accessed by the wipe of a finger.

Besides being a replacement cash register, the Tablet can take over classic MDE tasks as well; using a Bluetooth scanner, it is possible to create labels, carry out checks and do stocktaking. Furthermore, the scanner can be a barcode reader as well as an RFID scanner. In parallel, act´o-cashm represents a solution for the store management that can transfer tasks from the Store-Management to the sales floor. As a result, store managers, business managers and department managers are no longer tied to the back office.

The second thematic focus of the trade fair presentation is the Revisions-Cockpit act`ocross. The Revision solution merges data from various sources thereby facilitating the analysis. Using rules that the user can easily create himself, many tasks are performed automatically. If certain key figures rise or fall unexpectedly fast, act´o-cross alerts an audit staff member automatically. The needless and random checks of individual stores can thus be reduced to a minimum.
