NetPRO Ethernet Interface for Cash Drawers

APG NetPRO® Ethernet cash drawers may be attached to a network(LAN) and confi gured to be remotely operated using the APG NetLib™ library of commands by Thin Client POS or Mobile devices. These commands will operate the cash drawer as well as report drawer status and other important cash drawer access events to a remote server or networked device. Loss prevention activities are monitored with time stamped information, which can be parsed from the database that is stored in the cash drawer’s memory.

The NetLib™ commands can also talk to other Ethernet devices such as cameras or management terminals. Keeping the statistics on board, the drawer also enhances asset management activities for optimizing the useful life of each drawer.

Three variations of this interface are available: the NetPRO® 470 Interface provides basic opening and reporting functions, the NetPRO® 480 Interface includes time/date stamps for each event with reporting, and the NetPRO® 490 Interface adds PoE as a further enhancement.
